Enter the Chimp Fu tower and begin your training. Each level begins with a lesson that explains a different type of syllable.

After your training, practice chopping up giant hotdogs and vegetables to split words into their syllable chunks.
At the end of the level, have fun playing the Gorilla Challenge to earn your headband and test your Chimp Fu skills.

As you climb the tower levels, the words become tougher but you will learn to recognise every syllable type, improving reading ability. Get a giant boost to reading confidence as you advance from simple cvc-cvc words to being able to read long multi-syllable words.

Children benefit from learning to recognise and split syllables from 6+ years.

UK rules
My students love this app however level 2 is based on UK syllable division rules and therefore confuses students in the US. It would be helpful to have a US version available too.
App does not work
The swipe does not work once you get into the program. Therefore, my child and I are stuck on the very first word and can not get past it.
Not for me
I am am dyslexia therapist in the U.S. I wanted to try this to see if I could recommend to my students. The syllabication rules do not align with what I teach in an Orton-Gillingham program. I found the progression to be a little confusing at times. Also, I did not feel there were enough levels. I did really enjoy the graphics. I know my students would love that part, especially the bonus round chopping.
